I wish I could say that this beef is great for hip hop as I've heard other people say, but I disagree homeboy. The Jay-Z vs. Nas beef, yeah. But that beef was based on some real shyt. I read the book, it was all real. But being that this beef is coming 50, I'm not buying it. All of 50's beefs have originated because he needed album sales(well documented, by the way). Well, all except the Rick Ross debacle, which I still don't get. But that beef also stemmed from the fact that Rick was really hot at the time it started. Anyone hot, 50's going after, period. In my opinion, that is the weakest shyt known to man. It display's broad-like behavior in a man. This type of thing doesn't really go down in any hood in America. It also doesn't happen in any other genre of music. I understand that beef is a part of hip hop's culture but the culture has grown. I don't think beef is really needed anymore. Which is why when I see artists like Game and 50 Cent commonly displaying this, it hurts me as a fan. I am of the opinion that you should let your music speak for you. You shouldn't need to create beef in order to sell records. If you do, you are already in a poor place going in.

Jay-Z vs. Beanie Sigel/50 Cent
The part about this beef that hurts me the most is Beanie being involved. Now, don't get me wrong. I've been a fan of Rocafella from the gate, so I feel why Beanie is upset but at the same time, he's a grown man. He made grown man decisions and he has to suffer grown man consequences. I do feel that as a friend, Jay needs to speak to him but then again, maybe he has his reasons for not speaking. I'm almost sure he does. If I was in his shoes, I don't know if I'd try to talk to a barking dog, hollering baby, or a loud-mouth chick. You won't get anything accomplished like that. People are saying that Jay needs to talk to the man, say something, respond. I think he will, once Beanie stops acting like the kid in the playground that the kids don't want to play with anymore. It's all a bit childish at this point. And to add insult, you try to get the biggest pseudo-bully on the playground to be your new best friend. Bad move buddy. Now nobody's gonna wanna play with you. Kid has a terrible reputation. Before Beans started dissing Jay, he wasn't on or hot. I'd heard it was because Jay wouldn't release him from the label. Knowing the business a little bit, it was probably because he owed him some more records, per contract. But whatever the reason, Beans wasn't hot anymore anyway. So now it just looks like he's trying to get back on. What better way to do that, than to diss the person that put him on in the first place.
I think in the end, the days of Rocafella and State Property are long gone and have been for a minute. Now it's time to move on the bigger and better things. And in case you didn't know, beef is dead.

Irrelevant rappers cookin' up beef to boost album sales annoys me.
Curtis annoys me. This whole situation annoys me.
Jay said diamonds are forever but the Roc La Familia has been falling apart since The Backstage Tour. Beans need to move on and live and let die.
